Product Description

When Faye Wakefield runs a competition offering nine lucky winners a two-week stay at her beautiful farmhouse retreat in Cornwall, she promises an experience they will never forget. However, even Faye could not have imagined how bringing these people together would change their lives forever.

Just as she hoped, the competition yields a diverse mix of characters. Among them are Leah Shaw, a shy young woman with troubled eyes; the womanizing business tycoon Marcus Armitage; Karenza Jackson ruled by her deep-rooted need for independence; retired nurse Bronwyn Davis, and Patrick O'Leary, an Irishman with an affiliation for the whisky bottle.

So begins a gently unfolding story of love and illicit affairs, heartache and self-discovery. Yet, as sparks fly and the guests share their long-buried secrets, only Faye knows of her ulterior motive for inviting them all under her roof.

Voices of the Waves 28 Oct 2010
A lovely read, if you love suspense, romance and some thrills this book is for you. The characters are wonderful and you really want to see what happens with them all. There are some crazy ones among the good ones. The story keeps your attention through out the whole book. I never came across an dull moments. I wanted to read from the beginning to end and not stop. I hated to see the book come to an end. This is one author I will keep my eye on.

The title sounded intriguing, and the cover seemed serenely inviting so I fell for it. And what a gratifying experience! The novel developed with the accuracy of an exceptionally crafted screen play - very often I felt like watching a movie. The characters are vibrant and surprisingly real through their complexity. You find yourself following them mesmerized, famished to know more and more about each and everyone of them, as you can't put down the book, and the author does a wonderful job in helping you, keeping you in touch with their actions, their past, their feelings, challenging your imagination to the point that you can't guess the end of the story. With romance and suspense inserted along the way, and a very readable style, the novel keeps you entertained to the very last page. Miss Jessica Chambers became one of my favorite authors, and I can hardly wait for her next book.

Voices On The Waves 22 Jan 2011
By Nadia
Format:Kindle Edition
An unlikely group of companions are brought together on holiday in a lonely remote farmhouse in Cornwall. At first glance, they appear to have nothing in common, but it quickly becomes apparent that they are all trying to run from their pasts. The author's highly readable style carries the reader along at a comfortable pace. The characters are portrayed in a way both realistic and entertaining. Full of tangled relationships and haunting secrets, this book is perfect for lovers of women's fiction.
