My son was desperate for this phone. He loved the lights at the bottom. However, we struggled to get hold of it. The man in the vodaphone shop said that people found the lights at the bottom too complicated to use, so they were not producing any more. I also found the touchscreen quite complicated and unresponsive. However, all of this was nothing compared to what appeared to be software problems. The phone would sometimes crash when trying to switch it off and then after a whole month of non use £20 credit suddenly disappeared. We swapped the phone for an identical one with a new SIM card. This one suffered the same problems with software crashing, unresponsive to touch etc, except this time, when my son used the phone non of the credit disappeared. Two weeks later, the phone suffered a nasty accident when melted butter seeped into it and stopped it from working altogether. We did manage to rescue his SIM card and it works just fine in his new phone, so I can only put this down to a software fault in the VF541.
