I bought this phone as a Christmas present for my wife, to replace an elderly Nokia. Phone looks nice, balances in the hand nicely, Li-ion battery is ready for immediate use (though we charged it all the same), screen is clear and easy to navigate - all in all a super phone for the money. But......
... try text messaging. Using predictive text the phone amends the word you're entering as each letter is typed in, until the right word is formed. This is normal as per other phones. What is unusual here though is what happens if the word you're after isn't in the phone's library. This can happen more frequently than you might imagine - it could be a name, of a person or town, or it could be a technical term (and you don't have to get too technical!) for example. Well, it seems that you revert to non-predictive spelling and type in the word in full. Fine. Except that having done that, there appears to be no way of saving the word to the phone's library for further use. Which is a real pain.
We cannot believe this basic feature is absent. We are searching for a solution but even the Vodafone website says you can't do it. So, I'm afraid that this little beauty will be returning to where it came from. Which is a real pity.
Tread carefully if you want this phone to send texts - unless a software update comes along in the meantime (which I think it must).
