This review is from: Vixen (Kindle Edition)
Su is female, has a high sex drive, and knows she's not 100% human, but unfortunately, that's all she knows. She wakes up one day to find herself alone on a park bench, with no idea who she is or how she got there, and has since been trying to put things together with not much success.
One night whilst walking through the park, she is attacked by a vampire who wants to sink more than his teeth into her. This isn't new to Su, for some reason she smells incredibly good to vampires, and has had to fight one like this before. Finishing off the vamp she steals his cash and leaves him for the sun to take care of, whilst she finds a bar and orders a drink.
When a newborn vamp comes into the bar a little later, Su realises that it was his maker that she killed earlier, and feels slightly responsible for said newborn, it also doesn't hurt that she finds him attractive. Taking the vamp - Evgeny - under her wing, she stocks up on blood and takes him home with her.
However, Evgeny isn't quite the newbie vamp that he should be - he's stronger, faster, and performs better in the dark than he should, and when this attracts attention, things turn bad for Evgeny and Su, and also puts a hold on their blossoming romance.
Suddenly it's even more important for Su to work out what she is if she wants to stand any chance of helping Evgeny, and time is running out.
This book is well written, and grabs you from the very first page. There are an odd few spelling mistakes, but nothing much, and I have to say that this book made a nice change from a lot of the dross out there. It's nice to find a book that's interesting and well written, as well as nicely paced. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal fiction/ paranormal romance - namely vampires, werewolves etc. and I will be watching out for more from this author.

A foxy leading lady falls for a newbie vamp, 15 Jan 2012
This review is from: Vixen (Kindle Edition)
Panya Su Fuchs has no memory of her life prior to waking up injured and naked. Her ID confirms her name and address but the only thing Su really knows is that she isn't human. To discover what she is and what happened to her she uncovers a hidden paranormal world of vampires, werewolves and other creatures.
When Su is attacked by a vampire (something about her makes her almost irresistible to the paranormal races) she kills him and finds herself babysitting his vulnerable new Reborn. In this author's world a high majority of new vampires are used as a food source (as they taste better than humans) so Evgeny, until he regains his wits and can protect himself, is likely to be snatched up as a snack by a more powerful vampire unless Su helps him out. Not too much hardship as the baby vampire is a hottie, but Su is still wary of what Evgeny could do to her if he gets too hungry, especially when he displays abilities no fledgling vampire should have.
Soon Su is not only embroiled in a dastardly vampire plot, she's falling in love with Evgeny. When he is captured by other vampires she is determined to battle for his release, yet perhaps this battle will finally uncover what Su really is and the full scope of the power she wields.
This is an exciting paranormal romance with plenty of action, twists and mystery. The escalating drama is great, be it the trouble Su finds herself in, or what she uncovers about what happened to her and what she is. The author weaves together a variety of paranormal elements from different cultures, and whilst "Vixen" is quite an adventure, this author doesn't slouch with the romance side of things.
