5.0 out of 5 stars Good camera, good value, bargain really 6 May 2007

I bought one of these for my mum and then went back and bought one for me, as a "second" camera.

For your lolly you get the camera, wrist strap, a wee case, batteries, software, USB and TV cables and a REAL book camera manual (also on PDF).

The camera feels quite solid, the 2.4" display is good. The menu system on it is the best I've seen - this is my third digicam, the previous two are Olympuses and were way much more expensive than this. The first batch of pictures out of it are all very sharp and clear too - you get much better results setting it to P and tweaking white balance, exposure compensation etc.

So far, so good.

Update. Yes it eats batteries. So buy some NiMH ones like everyone else. Two of them will *easily* last a day plus two spare. Recharge at night for the next day. Sorted. ALL digicams are like this! (Unless they come with Lithium Ion batteries but actually NiMH AA's are handier)

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid 18 Nov 2007

I bought this camera in April and it's been nothing but trouble. The pictures are often blurred but I initially put this down to my lack of skill. The battery usage is very high but I also encountered a problem where the camera wouldn't take new batteries, shutting down automatically when brand new batteries were inserted! I had to use any batteries in another piece of equipment for 10 minutes before the camera would accept them. After 6 frustrating months of trying to get it to take pictures that were continually in focus rather than occasionally so, it finally gave up the ghost today, the 18 inch drop from my soft bed to my soft carpet being enough to break this flimsy construction beyond use. Possibly the single worst piece of equipment I have ever owned.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vivitar V6320 digital camera 3 April 2007

The camera is smaller than I expected which is a good thing. Very well made camera, sharp and large screen, easy to use, comes with a belt case, usb connection lead (software) but I just drag and drop to computer.Better than my 4MP Olympus I can't believe the Amazon special price of below £[...]... a fantastic bargain. I also took up the option of the 1GB SD card at £5-40 also a bargain and no problems.
