Buy this for your son and I guarantee that dad will soon want to play. My 11 year old son received a set for Christmas and he and I have had great fun with them.

The package contains two impressive looking, sturdily built guns which can be modified by removing the front piece to use as a pistol or extending the stock to use as a shoulder mounted rifle. Telescopic sights are also included; though the value of these is dubious.

The guns emit a red laser dot for aiming; they can be set for single shot or automatic mode and for beginner or pro mode, which presumably determines how accurate your aim has to be to score a hit. The range is good - we've played at night in the garden, running and dodging behind trees and garden furniture and shooting at each other over distances of around 30 metres.

Get hit a certain number of times and you're "dead". Also, realistically, the ammo is not inexhaustible - the gun has to be "reloaded" after a certain number of shots, which simply entails pressing a button on one side, but might just give your opponent the edge at that vital moment!

I have no doubt that whenever my son brings any friends home this will be a sure favourite for them to play in the house, garden or local park. Great toy!

Both my 8 year old and is dad love this.
Expensive but worth it if you're going to play with it loads.

Pretty good toys. I bought two sets so that all the family could play!

The laser guns are more robust than you might expect, and have a decent range (100m+) and are fairly accurate. Beginner mode helps, as this makes the guns more vulnerable (the gun is also the 'target' when firing at each other).

Battery life isn't an issue yet, after a month of occasional use (10-15 hrs total).

Good fun, especially on foggy night walks, when the beams are clearly visible. A solid 4/5.
