    I searched the internet for the best deal and this was it.The price was low for such a high spec camera and Vivitar was a brand i'd used before.Upon opening the box,it was the tiny size that blew me away.A lot of technology built in to a small package but heavier than expected.The quality feel,ease of use and amazing quality prints impressed.You are supplied with a quick-start sheet of instructions but also a comprehensive manual,which is unusual these days.Batteries,Case,USB lead and Set-up disk are in the box.Photo-express SE & Photo Explorer are there but are of limited use.Why the low price if it's as good as i say? The drivers supplied are for XP & 2000 only may be the reason.The Vivitar web-site doesn't show a driver for Vista as far as i could see.For a superb value for money camera,buy this and you won't be disappointed.Recommended.Delivery from Amazon took 3xdays and well worth the wait.

    I was grabbed by the idea of a 6MP camera for £50. I bought it to take on a Med cruise with me and took a load of really great snaps.
    Unlike other reviews, I had no problem with the camera quality and found the quality of the pictures superb.
    I took a picture of the Pope through the open window of his car as he was being driven by. The picture I took was of the whole car but by zooming in and in on my PC, I can just make out his features before the picture starts to break up. My previous camera was a 2MP and the difference is staggering.
    My one complaint and one reason why I wouldn't buy this camera again, is the lack of a viewfinder. Any pictures one takes outdoors are a matter of luck because if the sun is shining, the LCD panel is virtually useless.
    I've now seen the 8MP Vivitar WITH viewfinder for £70 and if I had my time over I'd definitely buy that.

    The other reviews here have in my view not been fair, come on this is a £50 camera,
    I got this camera form amazon a few weeks ago with a 1 gig SD card, which will hold on the highest setting 327 pics, I took over 100 pics with a set off batteries supplied and sent off over 50 to be printed off online, when they came back I was very impressed.
    It's a camera I'm not afraid to use or take out incase I loose it or it gets stolen, so it will get used more.
    I would recommend this camera as a second camera or as a first camera for a teenager, what I would say is get a 1 gig card and use at least 2500 Ni-MH rechargable batteries.
    The one big downside is lack of viewfinder but for the price I can live without it.
