This is just a very joyous recording from beginning to end. In a way it provides a very warm contrast to the contemporary preference for period performances for most of these pieces. (Note: I also like period performances!) I especially treasure the Wieniawski duos because they are seldom recorded. What is sweetest is that many of these pieces are popular with student musicians, and having two stellar violinists play the heck out of them is just cool.
