Those who appreciate the vivacity of much of Vivaldi's work will love this collection. If your Vivaldi stopped at 'The Four Seasons' (versions by Fabio Biondi with Europa Galante have produced two versions which I have - each rather different in treatment) and you liked that then give this a go. It can be a daunting task to avoid duplication when collecting the works of a particular composer but all these here are unique excepting for any boxed sets.

Trevor Pinnock (nice 5 disc box set a few clicks away) and Rachel Podger (La Stravaganza) are other performers to watch out for with Vivaldi - Bach too. Andrew Manze also can add his own spice to Vivaldi and Bach.

Look out for The French Connection 2 for some of Vivaldi's sparkling works for flute.

This disc should not be missed. Delightful music beautifully played and recorded. One of the best Vivaldi discs I have recently heard.

Interesting to hear this familiar music played on the original instruments. Brings it all back to life. Highly recommend as gift

One of the best cds I have ever heard, beautiful and enchanting. Serenissima at their best, wonderfully crafted and obviously fine purveyors of all things Vivaldi. The second one is equally good. Thankyou.

A good recording of Vivaldi ... but perhaps not one of the great ones. However a fascinating look into this particular period of his composing.
