After being totally ingrossed in the first album by Cobra Starship (While The City Sleeps, We Rule The Streets) i was eagerly anticipating the release of this second album.
I heard the first two tracks on their myspace page, and felt that they had gone towards a more electric sound, which i felt they didn't needed to go to. But after listening to the whole album i have found that it is an album that changes as you listen to it. Starting with The City is at War and Guilty Pleasure, the band comes up with catchy lyrics, deep hooks and hard hitting bass lines. Tracks like Smile for the Paparazzi, Angie and Damn You Look Good And I'm Drunk (Scandalous) serve up the good time that Cobra Starship fans will be looking for.
Once again, they have help from Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes who appears on Kiss My Sass and being that the album is produced by Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy fame, it serves to keep it in the same mould.
A good second album and definately a grower! I can't stop listening to it now. Just wish it was longer!
