I've never written a review before but after seeing the bad reviews for this bowl I feel the need to stick up for it. We've been trying a sort of baby led weaning with our toddler so leave him to hand feed himself most foods. I like having his food in a bowl rather than just on his highchair tray but other suction bowls we had tried just pulled straight off with even a small tug. This system however is fantastic. As long as the suction pad goes onto the tray when clean and dry, the bowl can actually be used to pick up the entire highchair - it really is that strong! Can't explain why others are having trouble but it definitely works for us. Infact, came onto Amazon today to order spare bowls!

I have tried so many "suction" bowls and although this isn't perfect, it is definitely the best I have managed to find. I find it sticks better if you dampen the suction base slightly. That way, my baby can't pull it straight off, although she has discovered that it will move if she rotates it...
All in all, every other bowl I have tried has been useless, but this one is worth a try.

We have many of the items in the vital baby range and love them but avoid this one at all costs, thought when someone said it didn't stick and then someone else said it was because surface wasn't clean thought would have no problems, well it just doesn't stick to any surface regardless of how clean or smooth it is, a simple lean or pull by baby on the handles that stick out and the suction breaks, terrible. Added to that when product first comes takes a lot of strength to seperate the items and only after rotating it a number of times and letting some of the plastic shave off does it become possible to easily seperate the two. Worst baby product I have ever purchased.
