Pregnacare includes the recommended level of 400µg folic acid, plus 10µg vitamin D and 17 vitamins and minerals vital for mother and baby.

Baby's development
For neural tube development and cell division early in pregnancy, Pregnacare contains essential vitamin B12, folic acid and zinc.
For all of pregnancy
Good nutritional intake is vital throughout pregnancy, not just the first 12 weeks. Iron, B vitamins and folic acid are also necessary later in pregnancy for blood formation. You can start taking Pregnacare at any point during pregnancy.
Ideal if breast-feeding
Optimum nutrition is important during breast-feeding, which places extra demands on your body.
Effective Support Without Excessive Levels
Because Pregnacare has been specially formulated by experts for pregnancy, it contains certain nutrients at levels above the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA). All ingredient amounts are within safe levels for pregnancy.
To protect your growing child, Pregnacare avoids excessive levels of iron and other nutrients.
Pregnacare does not contain vitamin A, as high levels are not advised in pregnancy. If required, an additional calcium supplement such as Osteocare may be taken with Pregnacare.

I don't really know how to compare this product cause i haven't used any other tablets on the market. But i find it easy to swallow and there is no bad after taste. Also i get aneamic occationally and have to take ferrous sulphate tabs as a supplement when i feel low on iron. However, when i had my pregnancy bloods done at 12 weeks i wasn't anaemic, so the iron in here is obviously enough to keep me ok.
I also used the Pregnacare Conception when we were trying, which was just as good as the original.

very helpful for body and pregnency too.i dnt have to take iron tablets 3 times a day now.jst this tablet one in a day with main meal thats it.i feel more energy since im taking them.no more laziness and dizziness.would recommend it.no probs at all and no bad taste.jst remember to take it with main meal.dont delay too much after meal to take this tablet.otherwise u wil feel horrible.

the only side of the item I didnt like was the box which was squeesed in the post. But who cares! I had my tablets with much more fair price than high street pharmacies!

I don't like the taste
My GP recommended that I take these tablets - but they tasted awful! I ended up having prescription iron tables - which tasted of nothing so I much preferred them.
