Product Description

Product Description

NEW with Folic Acid 400µg.

Nutrients specially formulated to help support a healthy conception For women who are trying for a baby.

A careful balance including L-Arginine, Inositol, vitamins, minerals and Folic Acid 400µg.

UK's NO 1 PREGNANCY SUPPLEMENT BRAND.

Expert care while trying for a baby.
Now you have decided for a baby, you want to prepare your body and ensure a healthy diet and lifestyle to maximise your chances of conception. This special Pregnacare Conception formula has been developed on the basis of worldwide studies showing that certain nutrients can play an important role in helping to build nutritional stores ready for pregnancy and support good reproductive health.

Nutritional support for conception.
A carefully balanced, comprehensive formulation of micronutrients, including L-arginine and N-acetyl cysteine, which play specific roles in maintaining normal, healthy female fertility. Certain nutrients may help maintain healthy cervical mucus which helps sperm to survive and contributes to its ability to reach the egg.

The recommended Folic Acid levels.
Pregnacare Conception provides 400mcg folic acid, the exact level recommended by the UK Department of Health for all women from the start of trying to conceive. As well as the healthy development of the foetal neural tube during the first days and weeks of life, folic acid may also play a role in conception.

Female reproductive health.
With Vitamin B12, inositol and zinc which are important for female reproductive health. Antioxidant natural vitamin E helps protect genetic material from free radical damage and Vitamin B6 is also recommended before conception.

When to use Pregnacare Conception.
Use Pregnacare Conception as soon as you start trying for a baby. To help build the body's nutritional stores it can even be used up to 3 months before you start to try for a baby. Once you have confirmed you are pregnant, you can continue to use up any remaining Pregnacare Conception tablets, before moving on to Pregnacare (or Pregnacare Plus with Omega-3), which are specially formulated for the remainder of your pregnancy and during breast-feeding.
Pregnacare Conception contains the recommended amount of folic acid together with other nutrients for the early weeks of pregnancy too, as your baby requires these nutrients for foetal development before you are even aware you are pregnant.

Had being trying to conceive for two years, after deciding I needed a little help. I decided to start taking these before trying again. 25 tablets later and I'm pregnant. Don't know if its just coincidence or these tablets but would definitely recommend!!!! :)

I'm just addressing the folic acid here, although some of the other ingredients are also suspect.

It's shocking that millions of pregnant women are advised to take folic acid like this, which is synthetic. Synthetic vitamins work only short-term and research shows folic acid can cause cancer! The proper, active form is folate (vitamin B9).

As Dr Mark Hyman warns: "Man-made molecules do funny, unpredictable things because they don't work with our normal biochemical pathways. Nature made molecules we have consumed for millennia work with our bodies. Folic acid, the molecule that is used to fortify our food supply, is used in most studies and in most vitamins. It is a man-made, funny looking molecule - a fully oxidized, synthetic chemical compound that seems to cause [more] mischief [than good]. It costs less and is more stable than the nature-made form of this nutrient.

"On the other hand, the nature-made form or forms, called "folates," do not seem to cause problems. This molecule is often found in foliage - dark green leafy vegetables, hence the name folate. This can enter your normal biochemical pathways and gets properly metabolized. The folic acid may not be converted or metabolized by the body, increasing cancer and disease risk. The excess folic acid becomes oxidized and promotes free radical production and genetic instability leading to cancer and other disease.

"The nature-made form of this nutrient - called methyl folate (and there are a few forms of that too) - is what should be in food and vitamin supplements. Many conscientious companies are now using only this form of the nutrient, but it is more expensive.

I'm 23 years old I've been with my partner for 7yrs and also been on the pill for about 8-9years.
We decided that it was time for me to come off the pill and try for a baby, I had alot of doubt in my mind about me getting pregnant because I've been on the pill for so long I stopped taking the pill in June and started My first pack of pregnacare, I finished that pack and continued on to the next box and hip hip horray to my suprise yesterday I found out I was pregnant 2-3weeks!
Through taking these pills I found I was more awake, I felt better in myself and also it gave me all the vitamins I needed to help me along with my baby making! :)
Good Luck to everyone and Dont give up! x

We were trying to conceive for 7 months. I switched from cheaper conception vitamins to these and got pregnant in the next cycle. My husband was taking the male vitamins for some time too. I'm not 100% sure it was Pregnacare that helped us conceive, but I'm still taking them in my 3rd month (my GP said it's completely OK to continue with these as they have the necessary folic acid) and everything seems to be fine.
Only note - never have them on an empty stomach, they might make you sick (made that mistake once, never again). Have a nice big meal before.

Ttc for year and half, tried all sorts, read about these on web so got to try! Bought pregnacare conception 3 for 2 so not too expensive. Took first month no unusual side effects, on second packet at mo and have positive pregnancy test! So over the moon, unsure whether these are the reason but def worth a try!

I don't know if these played a role in my case or not but I did take them for at least a month before my ovulation day and yes I did conceive at the first attempt and I am now 34 weeks pregnant. no symptoms other than the orange urine (not really a symptom). besides, they provide the folic acid required for healthy baby development so there you go.

Came quickly, no problems with shipping. I have been taking this conception vitamin for 2 months now and I like it. They are a bit big, but they have all of the vitamins recommended for women who are trying to conceive. We will see if it helps!
