Regardless style of this book author seems to know what he is writing about and book has some valuable info in it too. For person planning sailing trip to Greek waters this is something to read, do not except too much, you can read it very quickly and it is entertaining too. If you are HC sailor and lacking sense of humor don't buy this, it hasn't anything to offer for you.

Brilliant little book, humerous and filled with interesting little ideas and pokets of information. I learnt some very interesting nuggets of information and can't wait to get out there and start exploring them. If I can I will happily spend a life time enjoying such an expedition and I will ensure this book is in the library I take with me.

Having sailed the Greek Isles, I found this tongue in cheek version to be quite refreshing. Vernon Vas Elliot strays from the norm here, his humor mirrors the idiosyncrasy and uniqeness of the Greek spirit. You may end up in Turkey!
