For the most part my only red eye is in pictures. However I occasionally have allergies with the first or only symptom is extremely itchy eyes.

This Visine Redness Reliever Eye Drops squelches my problem without have it consume general allergy pills.

I also use it occasionally after watching late night Gojira movies.

Be sure to read the directions so you do not over use.

I keep a spare in my desk at work and occasionally meet a desperate co-worker.

I've been using these drops for some time - finding them in most USA drug stores and so was very pleased to find I can continue to get a supply via Amazon. The drops really do work - and I find them an excellent "relief" having removed contact lenses.

HASH(0x94a8818c) out of 5 stars A bit of caution with eye drops... 4 Nov. 2014
By Denise Crawford - Published on Amazon.com
Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
This used to be my go-to eye drop for my dry, irritated eyes. I am on a computer or a tablet for the majority of every day, and those hours spent looking at the screen and not blinking enough made my poor eyes dry and red. So I use a LOT of eye drops and have probably tried every brand. What I'm mainly looking for is immediate relief of that dry, scratchy feeling. Oh, and did I mention, I do wear contacts (the soft kind), so I need an eye drop that can be used with them in place. For years, I've used Visine products and happily ordered this one and used it several times a day - a drop or two in each eye at a time to "soothe, refresh and cool". I used it up quickly, and the price is right if you need to replace it often.

Then, I went to my eye doctor. He diagnosed me with dry eyes and a couple of other problems. When he asked what eye drops I was using, he told me that I should NEVER use a drop that contained the ingredient tetrahydrozoline -- which, unfortunately is the agent that "gets the red out" in this type of Visine product. Apparently the 3 lubricants contained in this type of Visine are not strong enough to counteract the drying effect of the tetrahydrozoline and he suggested I not use it anymore.

Well, now that you know what one optometrist thinks about that ingredient, I'd suggest that you will find this Visine effective for redness removal, and if you don't suffer from severe, constant eye dryness, perhaps it will be fine for you to use. If you do have issues that don't seem to be relieved, I think a visit to your own eye doctor might be in order. Using drops like this constantly might be masking a serious condition that requires more intervention. This product is not an effective treatment for serious dryness or redness caused by something other than a local irritant or temporary annoyance.

HASH(0x94a88774) out of 5 stars Visine Tired Eye Relief Lubricant Drops 28 Jun. 2010
By Lori Vattes - Published on Amazon.com
This product is awesome! I just bought this product at Target. It made the bluriness and puffiness of my eyes go away. I can see a little clearer, too.
It wakes your eyes up when you just can't seem to keep them open.

HASH(0x94a883c0) out of 5 stars take the redness out, NOT 26 Jun. 2013
By Joeyyungrocks - Published on Amazon.com
Size: 0.5 oz
What is in this solution, really? I was in the middle of dropping the solution into both eyes when i got a phone call and I answered it, talked for 2 minutes, came back to the mirror and oh my god, there were two pink streaks down my face where the solution dripped. I had to try to cover up the streaks with makeup. It took awhile to go away. My experiences with other rewetting drops never came to this. They were always so refreshing and acted like water that didn't act so harshly on the skin around the eyes and face. I gave it a few more tries throughout the days with my contacts drying out and EVERY TIME, IT CREATES THIS REDNESS AROUND MY EYES. Visine, how ironic. You guys are known to take redness out but all I've been experiencing is walking around with red eyes, red rings around eyes, and red streaks down the face. The formula is way too strong or irritating for me. I am actually afraid to use this now because the eyes are one of the most sensitive parts in the body and we don't need something this strong to just rewet the eyes. Even though this product is somewhat cheaper than other alternatives, I don't think it's worth it at all.

HASH(0x94a88a98) out of 5 stars Horrible 2 Sept. 2005
By Hemingway Hater - Published on Amazon.com
Not only are these horribly addictive, but they dry out your eyes and force you to use them constantly. Also, they are tested on animals using a Raize test: rabbits' heads are put in stalls, their eyelids are clipped off, and the eyedrops are put in. Wonderful.

For a better eyedrop, try Similasin.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
My eyes have been irritated lately (dry climate, lack of sleep, forgetting to run my humidifier), so I’ve been using these drops the last few days. As the packaging claims, they are fast-acting, the first time I used them I was able to relax my tired eyes. Very glad to have them.

I like the size and shape of the bottle, but the drops come out too fast. I tip the bottle, and without even squeezing it’s already dripping on my face. So I end up using almost twice as many drops as I mean to.

I got these Sep. 2014, the expiry date is Feb. 2017.
Active ingredients: Dextran 70 0.1% (Lubricant); Polyethylene glycol 400 1% (lubricant); Povidone 1% (lubricant); tetrahydrozoline HCI 0.05% (redness reliever).
Inactive ingredients: benzalkonium chloride, boric acid, edentate disodium, purified water, sodium borate, sodium chloride.
