5.0 out of 5 stars Wow 27 July 2004
Format:Audio CD
i no lab4 r good from hearing a few of their songs in compilation albums, but this is something else
what a journey
we begin with two fairly soft hard trance songs, then the legendary "The Creator", if uv heard "Candyman" this song is of the same style, a low evil long tune that is just amazing
then we have "Place Goes Boooooom", a true gem, very very nice bass and good use of vocals with the tune
"The Bitch" is another softer hit, but still fits with the building pace of the album
track 6, omg. this song does not belong in the hard trance category, its something else! "Replicant" is absolutely furious trance, spine tinglingly fast tune and one hell of a bass line! orgasmic!!
"I Need Your Love" is a really nice hard trance song, almost euphoric, a good wind down after the holy blasting from "Replicant"
"Resurrection" and "The 4th Floor" are two full on evil stompers of tracks, getting faster and more amazing respectively
then to finish "Pure Kaos" and it sure is, the fastest song on the album and a great bang to finish with, what a great tune!
the 2nd disc, being live, is a little poor quality recording, and the tracks rnt as good as the studio list, and borrowing two from the 1st cd, is kindof a let down, but ur not buying it for the live set, the raw flesh of disc 1 is worth more that ull pay!

This double cd is explosive, it's hard hitting, its a must for all hard house fans, its Lab 4. They've been rocking some of the worlds biggest dancefloors for over 2 years now and this cd truly reflects their individual style. They mix their music live and it has some of the hardest, most fastest and fierce beats around at the moment. CD 1 contains all their latest tracks from Be my lover, a slightly more sedate track right up to the hard and extremely fast Ressurrection. I couldn't stop stamping my feet when i heard it. CD 2 is a bonus cd containing a set that was recorded live in tokyo. It had me grinning from the word go, having seen them live this really brought back a lot of mad memories from Sundissential and Insomniacz where they are regulars. If you've never heard of them it is still well worth a listen as you can't say whether music is hard until you've heard these guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lab4's infectious Virus 23 Nov 2002
Format:Audio CD
Having got all of Lab4's CD albums as far back as R.T.H and Alien, it is difficult to imagine how these guys just keep pushing it further and further and with Virus I've got to wonder where are the limits!
This is the best yet. Hard, heavy, fast and exploding with the dynamism that only Lab4 can lay on you.
From the gentler titles like "be my lover" to the dramatic vocals and pounding of "resurrection" the whole collection of tracks is compulsive and if it doesn't make you move you are probably dead.
Another brilliant CD with graphics and layout as manic as the music.
