How do you know you're reading a bad romance novel - the romance begins on a lie, stays on a lie, and folks get married, anyway.
I just hate this type of book - everything is built on a lie - and a lie for no very good reason - unless you think greed is a good reason to lie.
I suppose we're supposed to think that Lucille is caught between her loyalty of her cyprian twin sister, Susannah, and the growing affection she feels for the Earl of Seagrave. But I don't know - it was very hard for me to muster much sympathy for any of the characters - Susannah, Lucille, or the Earl.
I highly recommend you save your money and not bother with this one.
