Oh my gosh, if you are a Gennita Low fan you have to buy this book NOW!!!
Having said that, if you haven't read `Virtually His' (book 1 in the trilogy) I think it will be difficult to follow, still a good read but I'd recommend reading these books in order.
So, to the plot... there is the continuation of the remote viewing/virtual reality technology where Helen and Jed/Hades are bound together as viewer and handler. Jed has made the sexual imprint/trigger even stronger and there is some hot, hot stuff in here! Helen's missions are to locate the (still) lost weapons and bomb trigger and in her viewing sessions she discovers more than she expects. Greta and Dragan Dilaver are talked about rather than making an appearance and the book is full of intrigue with possible CIA double agents, arms dealers and drug lords being thrown into the mix.
Of course Jed/Hades, as Helen's handler, accompanies her on the missions where she is dependent upon him for her safety and, at times, survival. In typical Helen style, she's none too pleased about Jed's ruthless manipulation and hold over her and makes no bones about letting him know it. What ensues is a battle of wills that will have you eager to turn the page. A few of the old characters make a small but welcome appearance - T and Alex and Hawk and Amber but the main story is focussed on Jed and Helen WOOP!
What I found intriguing about this book was the introduction of a virtual threat to Helen, a dark presence that gathers momentum and will have you echoing Jed's screams of `noooo' by the end of the book. Another intriguing and very welcome addition was the introduction of Jed's past. I found myself feeling shocked but tender towards the young man he was and can understand his attraction to Helen in terms of shared history.
My only gripe is that book 3 `Virtually One' hasn't even been printed yet!!! I KNOW! Patience is not my virtue and Gennita Low, being the Queen of Tease has made it virtually impossible to wait for the book's release. All in all I LOVED this book and would heartily recommend it - get buying.
