This is a fun gamebook, with the added bonus of having no dice to roll. It relies much more on you making sensible decisions. It has some replayability as well allowing you to have several different routes towards success, unless you forgot your pocketwatch in which case you'll find yourself down among the dead men.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mildly entertaining 2 Mar 2011

I feel that this book is the poorest out of all the Virtual Reality Adventure books. It starts off well but can come to a very abrupt end if you have not picked up the correct deeds or item. The enemy ships seem to inflict an unreasonable amount of damage on you, and it is nigh on impossible to actually win at this book. Heart of Ice is much more fun and still remains my favourite.
