Ok, so this is not a long book and should only take about an hour to read but it definately packs a punch.
It seems to be aimed at getting children (and adults) to read and with a story like this, it most certainly should work.
As a big fan of film and science fiction you can see some other references that this pays homage to but this is not copying ideas but twisting them to create something new.
At 128 pages it tells the initial story and sets up enough background for you to want more. Bring on the sequel! but more pages next time please.

A good light read 14 May 2010
Format:Paperback
This is a very good book, with some great action, as you'd expect from the author of the Young Samurai series. The main characters are likeable and the plot progresses at a good pace. It is quite short but that makes it perfect for young readers. The violence is clear but not graphic and there's even a bit of an ethical narrative toward the end. I'd recommend this book to any fan of Chris Bradford and to teen readers who like themselves a bit of action.
