Book Description

"So why are you still a virgin anyway? It's not as though you're scary or anything, and the way you eat a donut...enough to bring a man to his knees."

----Detective Mendoza with regard to Charlene Meadow's virginal state.

How does one remain a 24 year-old virgin in this day and age? Charlie Meadows isn’t sure; she didn’t intend to be. It just sort of happened, or didn’t happen, depending on how you look at it. However, after she reluctantly takes a position at Cedars hospital (blood, vomit and dead people just aren’t her thing) Charlie thinks she may have met the answer to her pesky little problem...

Namely, the lust inducing Dr. Samuel Macgregor whose bedside manner isn’t necessarily reserved for patients only. Through him she discovers she does hava a libido and (yay!) so does he. Unfortunately, for Charlie, her plans for getting rid of the dreaded "V" are thwarted when she is thrown into an investigation involving her landlord’s murder...

It seems, Alfred (the landlord,) and the power thirsty group he was involved with, had a vested interest in Charlie’s pure state. Sinfully, delicious Detective Mendoza, who arrives to investigate, has one as well. Mendoza can’t decide whether to throw Charlie into jail or into bed….

Through it all, Charlie desperately searches for a way to prove her innocence… all the while trying to decide whom to lose it to!

About the Author

Angela lives in Hawaii with her sweetie (Ken Kilkuskie). Between the two of them, they have 5 children, whom they are immensely proud of, as none of the children are in jail. It was her experience as a Patient Advocate, in a very busy emergency room, in Northern Virgina, that inspired her to write “Virgin.” In her free time, Angela plays with her chickens, kitties, children, and Ken. Not necessarily in that order, nor all at once. Angela is an award winning writer of short stories. "Virgin" is her first novel. She is currently writing it's sequel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Excellent!! 10 Jan. 2014

Format:Kindle Edition
Picked up this book by chance as I wanted to make use of the "borrow a book" for Amazon prime members. Knew from first page that I loved it. Nothing like 50 shades (which I'd hoped would be the case). The way the author portrays Charlie's character and her desire to rid herself of her virginity is fantastically funny. The events that make up the story are all seeming to be happening completely by chance and understandably Charlie can't believe how crazy her life has become. All of the unexpected changes are very relevant to the underhand plot which is revealed throughout the book and lead to Charlie falling for two important characters and are explained towards the end. Altogether hilarious book with serious plot which is told with exactly the right amount of humour. Characters that I CAN'T WAIT to catch up with in next book. Highly recommended to all!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! 14 Sept. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Don't let the title put you off! It's not a 50 shades of grey type of book, it's a subtle, romantic at times, exciting, dangerous and puzzling story, with well described settings and characters.
This book is brilliant! A definite page turner. I cannot wait to read more from this author.
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Frustrating 30 Jun. 2014

Format:Kindle Edition
If you like slapstick comedy, you may enjoy it, but if you prefer your characters to be more realistic, and the humour to be more witty and clever, you will probably find the characters very annoying, frustrating and unbelievable. I might have awarded three stars because, after all, just because it is not my kind of humour does not make it a bad book for others, but the poor proofreading and constant grammatical errors were far too frequent to ignore.
