Brilliant 13-year-old 13 Feb 2011
By Domdom
Vircover-Petal is an amazing first book by Jerusha. Itis written with great imagination and captures the attention of the reader from the very first sentence. The story is extremely well thought out and written in an easy flowing style which keeps the reader interested from cover to cover. Having written the book, Jerusha then illustrates it herself! The girl cerainly has talent!

A wonderful short storey of an apparent youngster, putting the experiences of her forgotten and lost past to work for the good of her world, by ridding it of the evil Dark Thorn. It takes the heroine on a journey to discover herself, her power and her feelings in a fast paced and well written storey. It has a bit of action, a bit of peril, a bit of humour, bit of fantasy and more for all readers, all the more amazing as the author (and illustrator) is only 13 years old!

An amazing, exciting read. Caught and kept my attention all the way through - from the first sentence to the last. Moving, fast, funny and surprising. It excited my imagination and held me in suspense, even though I am older than 13. Jerusha must keep writing. For a first book this is amazing. I am still waiting for my own copy from Amazon.co.uk, but know its available from .com. I'm glad a borrowed a friends' copy, but can't wait until I receive my own. I will certainly read it again.
