Worth considering if you are looking for infomation on how violins are made. The information is clearly presented in an undestandable sequence.
I did find the appendix of measurements at the back, for the violin and other instruments of interest. It is the sort of information that is often lacking and sometimes leaves you scraching your head for.

The author is a very experienced teacher of amateur violin makers and it shows. This is a much better book than Heron or Wake and more practical than Sacconi. The method is classic Mittenwald and you will produce a good fiddle if you follow it, how good depends on your hand skills.

Many years ago I attended this ladies violin making classes, I always thought she was a leading maker of Cello's but this book is so well detailed and is definitely one of the best books on the subject (I have tried them all). I have had several years go by without working on a violin, but will be continuing to complete a half finished one now I have this book. I think anyone with wood working experience would be able to turn out a good playable model following the step by step instructions.
