This is the album which Gwar have always been capable of producing but never have, until now. I must admit that I was quite stunned when I heard it first. Gone were the more fanciful "silly" songs and the long story telling type songs. Instead it is more in the style of a proper heavy metal album, no fillers, more heavy and more menacing. The style has completely changed from recent releases and is a mixture of heavy metal with punk leanings here and there. My only complaint is that the vocals are a bit far back in the mix which makes it a bit harder to hear what Oderus is singing, but at least there is a lyric sheet to fill in the gaps you miss. This is by far the best thing they have produced since Scumdogs Of The Universe, with more focus on quality rather that quantity which the last few LPs have been guilty of.
