ok but time to upgrade 6 Dec 2011
By ljtheprophet - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
i love Jedi Mind but seriously the guys are getting way too repetitive... 99% of the lyrics deal with the so called "horrocore" and it's getting old... the album is ok, the lyrics are dope, but where is the versatility.. The earlier Jedi Mind albums had alot more to offer with lyrics and different subject matter and of course Stoupe's beats were beyond awesome... Vinnie has too lyrical of a mind to just be talking about fatality moves and the wrath of god... previous albums featured much more heart felt songs, much more range as well.. songs like Shadow Business, Philosophy of Horror, Savirself,End Of Days so on and so on showcase much more of the man's depth... this album is ok but it's time to focus on more than how many ways you'll kill a man.

I Am And Forever Will Be A Jedi Mind Tricks Fan, But... 2 Jan 2012
By MastaAce77 - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This album is horrible. The lyrics are laughably immature (especially from Vinnie) and the beats don't pack the same erie punch that they did on their best album, Violent by Design. What happened? This isn't lyrical. This isn't complex. And, I KNOW that Jedi Mind Tricks are better than this. Maybe Stoupe's death had something to do with it, but it's not like they can't get some good backdrops. Look at Army of the Pharaohs latest LP! If you're new to the Jedi Mind Tricks scene, go buy Violent by Design instead. THAT is a masterpiece. If you're a fan of Jedi Mind Tricks, you can let this one slide. Or, just download the album and keep the ones you like. What I find ironic is that people claim that the underground never sells out as long as they remain underground. That rule may have just been broken with this album. Let this one be.

First album without Stoupe 28 Oct 2011
By rapteddy8 - Published on Amazon.com
Yes, this is the first Jedi Mind Tricks album without Stoupe and as everyone else I was scared that this would be an album packed with dope verses and terrible beats. However, the beats on this album are real good, probably only two throwaway beats and those to me would probably be "Bloodborn Enemy" and "When Crows Descend Upon You". A few of these beats sound like Stoupe's work and others are great for Vinnie and Jus voice and flow. Jus Allah went in on this album. This is the hungriest he has been in a long time and his lines are ridiculous. For example one of his lines is "I don't run from the problems I start usually, We wet you up, no lifeguards on duty". Anyone complaining about Jus Allah from "A History Of Violence" will forget that thought. Vinnie Paz comes with the usual dope rhymes, dope flow as expected. A lot of the hooks on these tracks are dope as well, for example the "F*** Ya Life" sample is incredible, same as "The Sacrilege Of Fatal Arms". The features on this album are all great. "Design In Malice" is the best featured song in my opinion with help from Young Zee and Pacewon. Young Zee takes the song in my opinion with lines like "And then I forget to call her, after I nut I get attention deficit disorder". Other features are great such as Chip Fu from the Fu-Schnickens, Demoz, King Magnetic, and Blacastan. There are also two remixes on this album that can be downloaded from the Jedi Mind Tricks website: Target Practice (Shuko Remix) and When Crows Descend Upon You (C-Lance Remix), both are very good remixes. As far as my favorite tracks on the album I would have to pick:

1. Design In Malice (featuring Young Zee and Pacewon)
2. Willing A Destruction Onto Humanity
3. F*** Ya Life (featuring Blacastan)
4. Imperial Tyranny (featuring King Magnetic)
5. The Sacrilege Of Fatal Arms

Drop all that talk about Jedi Mind Tricks is wack without Stoupe. That is proven wrong on this album, Jedi still hold the throne and look out for Vinnie Paz album "God Of The Serengeti" and Jus Allah album "MMA: Meanest Man Alive" coming out in 2012. Peace.
