About the Author
Caroline Cox, professor of cultural history at the University of the Arts, London, is a leading fashion authority whose work explores the relationship between fashion, beauty and culture. Her books include Lingerie: A Lexicon of Style (2000), Stiletto (2004), Seduction (2006) and Hair and Fashion (2005), which had an accompanying catwalk show at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Caroline lives in London, England.

This book is stunning, as usual caroline Cox has illuminated the subject with her usual wit and erudition to produce an enthralling book. Visually gorgeous, the book covers all aspects of vintage shoes and fashion in general. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful book on a subject close to my heart! It is well researched and impressively presented and is a valuable companion piece to "Vintage Fashion- Collecting and Wearing Designer Classics" for those of us interested/obsessed with style and design.
