I have fond memories of these songs. Suitable for all ages. The Laughing policeman had us in stitches as we sang along.

Great trip down Memory Lane ~ should be a must for nursery and preschools.
Catchy and very 'sing a long'

This is the best CD I have heard. 10 Nov. 2000
By GhostHost - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I am a collector of rare audio, I find cultural relics in the form of old recordings fascinating. I enjoy putting myself into the mindset of past times, it gives life to cultural history, plus the scratchy hollowness and distortion of old records creates a pleasing gothic effect. Together with old religious recordings ones for children are my favorite and I've wished for a CD just like this one for a long time. There's nothing I would change about this CD. The selection is excellent. The mood it creates is so effective that I first heard it on Halloween when someone used it to create atmosphere for trick-o-treaters! I would certainly reccomend it.

Hard to Find Favorites 16 Mar. 2000
By "dstclaire" - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This cd is chock full of tunes you may remember from when you were a child. Chances are that many of them were already vintage tunes even then. But try to find a good recording of Teddy Bear's Picnic and Ragtime Cowboy Joe. The recordings range from the '20s to the '50s, and it's interesting to see how much we have lost in children's music. Nostalgic and fun.

Fun, nostalgia for grandparents 9 April 2003

I like this cd for my 13 month old son, but it makes his grandparents even happier. A good overall choice.

Great sharing of parents and grandparents favorites with children 6 July 2006
By Blithe Spirit - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I was searching for CD's with some of the songs I grew up with, and my parents grew up with, so that my children could share in our memories. I was also looking for songs that were not in the usual children's music CD's and especially not in the normal whiney pitch. This is all that and more. What I especially liked was that it was original recordings, so you don't get tired of the album being all 1 tone - it is as if you have a lot of little albums each with their own sounds. Also, some of the tunes I wasn't familiar with, but enjoy now too. But, I guess, the question is, do the children like it: oh, yes. My son has his monthly favorite for requesting over and over again. And I know that this music has enough facets to it, that he will enjoy and discover the different aspects as he grows older. I am buying it now for other people.
