this is a fun, colourful picture book about Vincent the vain gorilla who gradually looses his chest hair and worries about how this will effect his friendships. Each page has a lovely bright illustration and an ever decreasing amount of real fur to tickle.

The rhyme is good but a little clunky in places (not quite Julia Donaldson) and the "message" about friends loving you however you look a bit too contrived, but Vincent is such a great character and the ending such good fun that it really doesn't matter. My 2 & 5 yr old boys certainly didn't care!

recommended.

My son loves this book, a friend of mine little boy stops at my house, and every night he stops he wants this book read to him, and it constantly borrowing it, so the only sensible thing to do was to buy him a copy for himself.
My son took his copy to school and all kids in the class loved it, including the teacher, who read it twice. A book loved my kids and parents alike. I love his bottom so colourful. :0

My 5 year old laughs hysterically at this book. She finds it very amusing and has had me read it numerous times this week. We borrowed it from our local library. Its easy to read, follow and understand, the pictures are good too. A very funny tale which is bound to put a smile on your face.

Well I just loved the look of this and was delighted that my children loved it too. Such a funny tale, with a great melodic rhyming story, a good message and fab pictures.
