I have had 2 of these kettles now and both have had the same problems.
Firstly, they look beautiful however on closer inspection the transfer of the print is poorly done with a few imperfections in places.
Secondly, the plastic used on the spout, handle and knob feels very cheap and flimsy and certainly not worthy of a forty pound price tag (at time of writing). Both of mine did not whistle properly either. The fitting of the spout cover is so flimsy that it will only whistle when you push the cover down tight onto the spout.
The instructions included states that rust may occur if the inside remains wet, however you can remove it by using lemon juice. I can honestly say that I have had a few stove top kettles and never have the instructions acknowledged that rust can occur and despite a few speckles around the handles and spout I have not experienced rust with a stove top kettle.
Needless to say that I have been very disappointed. So unless you want one for decorative purposes then I would recommend that you purchase an alternative.
