Image of Cannibal Corpse

What more can be said, in this Year Of The Corpse 2009, that hasn’t already been whispered, grunted or screamed about the almighty Cannibal? They’ve smashed—nay, hammer smashed—every boundary set before them, defied every censor set upon them, and besmirched every country that would have them. After two decades of unending death metal torment, the band’s calling ... Read more in Amazon's Cannibal Corpse Store

Format: Audio CD
Well, this album was a big test for Cannibal Corpse, their charismatic frontman, Chris Barnes had been replaced with Monstrosity's George Corpsegrinder, so the expectations were high, moreover coming off their remarkable The Bleeding album. It would be tough to top...
Vile doesn't disappoint one bit. The vocals add new dimension to the songs and make the album interesting to listen to from start to finish. Lyrically, the themes are the regular gore stuff they have always done but this time they seem more articulate and narrative like on Bloodlands. The guitar work just keeps getting better as do their composing skills (listen to Perverse Suffering and Disfigured).
So what else is there to say except: Buy it if you haven't already!... Oh, and buy this edition because you get the original gruesome artwork instead of the face close-up!
