Vilac have been manufacturing wooden toys for over 90 years and have become one of the oldest toymakers in Europe. Originally founded by Narcisse Villet in 1911 as a wood turning workshop in Jura, France. Viliac specialise finely lacquered wooden toys. Thus named - Vilac ("Vi" from Villet and "lac" from lacquer). The durable wood turning technique has continued to the present day contributing to the widely held attraction of Vilac toys.

I bought these Alphabet magnets for my Daughters 4th birthday and they are very bright and the designs are unusual..so much nicer than the cheap plastic ones yet not much more expensive!!! A real bargain and my daughter loves them :)

These magnetic letters are very pretty and appealing and look great smattered over our fridge door. However, I was disappointed to find that a few of the paper coverings are already peeling off. This was a Christmas present and it is now 9th January - more pretty than practical!

These for all intent and purposes are good fridge magnet letters and a nice alternative to the plastic ones. They are slightly larger than plastic letters tend to be and easier for little fingers. Had the quality lived up to expectation I would have given 5 stars but the quality fell short by a long way.
Unfortunately I opened these in front of my daughter otherwise I'd be sending them back but she loves them so they have pride of place on our fridge.
They are basically a layer of magnet glued to thin balsa wood with a sheet a plastic patterned layer on top and it's this top layer that is very poorly cut out. Most of the letters look like they've already been in a toddlers mouth a few times all scruffy and tatty round the edges and almost water damaged look. I'm really disappointed by this as previous reviews are so praising.

These are great and different
These alphabet letters are great. My 2 and half year old loves playing with them on his magnetic board and often just on the floor. Nicer than plastic with really lovely patterns.

alphabet fridge magnets
didn't realise it was all capital letters, however they are overall good magnets with lovely patterns on them, makes a change from the hard plastic ones.
