I recently spoke to the manufacturer of the 2GB Viking Interworks SD card in the US who told me that this card can write at a speed of 4.2MB/s (28x). This information is not displayed in the product information but could be useful to some users. Although not advertised as a high speed card, I think this is pretty impressive.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Was a bit apprehensive at first as I usually buy Sandisk. The chip arrived in the post and works well. Am able to transfer data quickly and also able to play my music, which is why I bought it in the first place. The most comforting thing is that it is "Made in Japan" unlike others which might be made elsewhere in places not known for their quality.

Bargin for the price. 18 Oct 2006
I was cautious about buying a 2GB card at this price but I am glad I went ahead with the order anyway. Transfer rate is more than adequate for photography and the large amount of storage is perfect for me as I don't like to carry around any extra cards as I would be likely to loose them. With this card I just leave it in for the day as it stores all the pictures I'm likely to take in the day without the need for swapping and switching. No apparent write delay with my point and shoot Ixus.

The Price (and Size) is right
This is the size of memory card you want for your camera. You'd be hard pushed to fill it with genuine photos but it's good to have all that space. Read more
