Product Description

Viewtiful Joe is a brand-new concept in video games. It blends the latest cel-shaded graphics with classic side-scrolling action gameplay, to introduce the world's quirkiest action superhero, Joe! In the game, Joe is sucked into the world of a Hollywood movie. While trying to save his girlfriend, who was previously warped into the film, Joe gains new powers to perform special visual techniques that can be used to affect time and attacks on foes. Players progress through various 2D/3D cel-shaded environments implementing Joe's visual effect abilities to bash enemies with beautiful style. It is up to gamers to choose the correct view mode, such as "Slow", a technique for instantly slowly down the action to inflict damage similar to that in today's films or "Mach Speed" to destroy enemies using a lightning-fast approach. The blend of a true comic book look and innovative stylized action will set Viewtiful Joe apart from other games on the market. Not Final Cover.

Viewtiful Joe: Good game but a good guide? 8 Nov 2003
By Bob Shapapa - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I recently picked up this guide to compliment my purchase of the game Viewtiful Joe and this is what I think of it. As I first opened it I noticed it is very colorful which is a great thing and the guide was very helpful. The only cons are that it is very thin with 112 pages. I was dissapointed at how short the secrets section was though. Overall, I'd say any Joe fan that needs help to beat that hard boss or just to read it for fun should pick it up because it is very colorful and detailed.
