Product Description
A good quality and well designed car holder for your HTC Desire HD ensuring you have your phone conveniently where you can view it when driving while keeping the phone securely protected.
One of the few holders available which needs a protective phone cover to work, meaning not only will your phone always be securely held whilst driving but there is no need put on and take off the case, each time you use the car holder.
(Will also work on other similar sized cases for the Desire HD).
Tailored for the Desire HD, it rotates to allow you to view your handset in portrait or landscape as well as plug in a charger or access the volume buttons with ease. Simple to install and use and can be taken off just as easily.
The Pack also includes a FREE car charger so you're phone is always powered even when you're on the move.
To get started, simply clip the holder on to the arm until the both have clicked into place securely. Stick the suction cup on your windscreen at an angle which suits you and pull the clamp down to lock unit into place. Insert the case on to your phone, and place the handset in the holder and its ready to use (detailed instructions included in box).

The three parts of this kit can be summed up as good, not so good, and faulty. The case for the HTC Desire is fine and fits well, with a pleasant rubbery black surface; the screen mount is at first a real pain to put together - it requires a lot of effort to engage the holder in the arm/sucker piece - and the mount is prone to shudder while driving, but does at least allow the phone to be mounted with the case on. The "free" charger however, the item I needed most, lasted just half an hour before failing, so I had to return the whole kit for a refund. This was processed with no problem, but it's a shame the lower price car kits don't seem up to the job.

I was very pleased at first. I only wanted the car holder and power supply, but the rubber skin phone case was a surprisingly good bonus.
On second use in the car the holder for the phone snapped when I tried to take the phone out. I don't believe I used excessive force. It may be that the phone doesn't fit in with the rubber skin on it, but since that all came as one kit that seems like bad design.
I continued with the phone on the dash, but later the same day I tried to plug in the power and the electrical insert part of the mini USB plug just bent over and snapped. I don't think I was especially harsh with it and never had this happen with the original wall socket type power lead.
I still use the rubber skin case, but in my humble opinion the car kit part of it (the bit I needed) was not robust enough.
