Good book - especially enjoyed the explanation of the history of each city and region. Great help when visiting the area and lots of information about sites of interest. Would have helped if more sites of interest were marked on the maps provided of each city, but otherwise a great book.

Delivered on time, I thought it would have more pictures in it, but on the whole I thought the book was good value.

Vienna Prague Budapest 9 Nov. 2006
By Jerome A. Mark - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
An excellent comprehensive description of major sights in these cities that is still brief enough that one can easily remember the highlights. The book is also light enough that one does not mind carrying it.

A Useful Guide 4 Nov. 2006
By N. J. Genovese - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I just returned from the Prague, Vienna, and Budapest experience and do not know what I would have done if it wasn't for this handy guide. This guide contains city maps, metro station maps, descriptions of attractions and transportation. Additionally, the restaurant review list was very complete, including recommendations for vegetarian eating. If you are planning on making the trip, I highly recommend this guide.

Great current coverage of cities in one small book 18 Oct. 2011
By Winter - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I purchased this book in the hope that it would provide a good guide in a small package for an upcoming trip to the area. I did not want to carry around three separate guide books or have to invest in a Kindle (and have big brother monitoring what I read and when and where). I was not disappointed.

The coverage is more than adequate for the average first time visitor to these areas and is smaller than the average guide book for any of the countries. My trip is only for a couple weeks and I will be traveling by train from Frankfurt to the other cities and back for my flight home. This book is the perfect companion guide for such a trip.

The book includes very good current coverage with regard to trains, money, telephones, tipping, toilets, and other practical concerns when traveling in the three countries, with these topics covered separately for each city.

The only weakness of the book is with the maps. This is easily corrected by buying the individual city maps and still results in a compact and lightweight package for travel.

Arrived quickly - helpful for trip. 14 April 2013

Exactly the cities on our trip. I think the tour guides used it as well. Almost the same words they used. Maps were helpful - size fit in regular tote bag or purse.
Be sure to check the currency for each city - each is different.
