4.0 out of 5 stars Video Seven 27" LCD TV 14 Aug 2005
By Lindsay
I am very pleased with my purchase now that I've managed to set it up. The instruction manual is not easy to follow for one without a degree in Engineering!! However, with trial & error rather than understanding I eventually got the TV up & running & connected to video & Sky.It is everything it said it would be - nice to look at, great picture, sound etc.
One downfall is that the TV does not have an on/off switch on the machine itself - it goes from standby to on & vice versa only & therefore, has to be switched off at the wall socket which personally I find annoying.
I feel this TV is well worth the money compared to other more popular makes & would recommend it despite my other comments!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just an excellent TV with Very Strange Firmware 28 Oct 2005
Ok so this was the 2nd try from Amazon (first one had a remote control that half its buttons not working - Amazon were great about replacement btw !) so I wonder about Quality Assurance from Video7 but for 500quid difficult to complain about the odd duff set. 2nd TV - apart from the manual and firmware - obviously designed by someone on a different astral plane than us mere mortals - is just brilliant - am bluntly starting to get worried my 42inch plasma (the other tv) is not worth the 4x the cost I paid due to this set's excellent picture quality - A great find even if people say Video Who ? - Highly Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressed 17 Oct 2005
Ok, first out - this tv was bought for my bedroom ready for the launch of the Xbox360. I got it about 3 weeks ago and have since been very pleased

I ordered it on the wednesday and it was at my door on the thursday morning (and thats with free p&P). I opened it up and stood it atop my tv stand and it looked fantastic. After plugging it in and connecting my aerial lead i switched it on and clicked menu on the remote - a simple menu allows for auto scanning which picked up all 5 channels.

The channels were not crystal clear but they never have been in my room so i think a new aerial is needed for sure. Getting back to the Tv - as its main purpose was to play Xbox - i quickly linked this up via SCART and it worked very well. I played games such as FIFA and Burnout (a very fast paced game) and the picture quality was superb - no blur or 'ghosting'.

Ive also watched DVD's on the Tv aswell such as Shrek which was fine but had a little trouble playing Peter Kays Phoenix Nights as the credits at the end of each episode scroll horizontally along the screen - the words move quite fast and there is a slight blur although only noticeable to others once i pointed it out so not a big deal.

Other than that slight fault the tv is perfect unless you plan on having this in the Tv and wish to watch High-Def Tv from Sky next year as there is no DVI-D or HDMI connectors

So, overall - a great Tv and fantastic value for money. Thanks Amazon
