As long as your PC/Laptop has an s-Video port, I can't imagine a simpler way to connect it to your TV - simply plug the s-video cable into your PC port, plug the audio cable into the headphone socket, and then choose if you want to connect those directly to your TV, or, even easier, connect them to one of your TV's SCART sockets using the SCART adapter provided. And that's it.
The s-video cable is a bit thin, and none of the stuff looks like it's been made by Rolls-Royce, but it didn't affect the picture or sound quality as far as I could see. I can't speak for the professional user or hi-fi buff, but if, like me, all you want is to watch some video clips from your PC on the TV, then this is the answer. Great value for what's included in the package.

I would recommend this product as it does what is asked of it. The picture quality won't be brilliant - so if you are used to HD quality all the time then you might want to think twice.
Don't read this as a bad review because I actually thought it was a really good item as it have managed to transfer my laptop view onto a TV - really simple.
Connect the audio and S-Video cable into your laptop. Connect the other end into the Scart adaptor by attaching it to the respective colours/labels. Connect the Scart into your TV. Ideally people tend to use the AV2 channel.
Next - Change your channel settings to AV2. Then on your laptop press the function "Fn" button on your laptop along with F3/4/5 depending on your laptop model. It took me a bit of time to figure this out.
Since you don't get a user manual I thought I write all of this and summarise some of the other useful feedback given by others.

I bought this item to connect my laptop to TV to watch films and photo's off my laptop. It does the job perfect and very cheap with no delivery charge. I would strongly recommend this product.

crap
does not require any star-doesnt work...and i think it's why it is cheap that it would not be worth posting back to the seller...very disappointed!
