This is a stronger knife with thicker steel. I bought it for my brother-in-law's 50th Birthday and is a wood craftsman. Based on the original knife issued to the Swiss Army. The extra blade is good for lots of tasks so it's not just for an electrician or work knife and both blades come razor sharp. I have a number of Victorinox and Wenger pocket knives and this and the Pioneer have bigger tools on them. Legal to carry in UK. Worth the money. Very pocketable. If you want to upgrade your Swiss Army knife to something even better this knife or the Pioneer would be a good choice.

This is a very nice looking Swiss Army Knife but I don't think I will be using it very much.
The tool includes:
- Long clip point blade,
- Short Sheep's foot blade with notch (for stripping larger cable, I guess)
- A sharp edged awl
- Screwdriver / bottle opener / wire stripper
The first time I opened this, I cut my thumb on the Awl, which has a sharpened edge. Both the other blades were very sharp out of the box
It's a thin SAK and the Alox finish looks great but for something described as an electrictian's knife I'd have prefered a Philips screwdriver and a smaller 'terminal' screwdriver for the smaller screws in plugs and wire terminals. This selection, I feel, is not very useful and because there are three non-locking sharpened blades on this I am wary of it folding back on my fingers. Worth buying if you are a collector, I suppose. I like the Leatherman Fuse better for electrical jobs.

one of the best vic's i have ever owned, the small blade is perfect for safe box cutting without fearing that you might cut whats inside of the box

Although I am not an electrician I found the combination of blades and tools on this model to be particularly useful. It is slimmer than the Farmer, which is another of my favourites, so is not too heavy and bulky in my pocket. Personally I like a key ring facility and wish the Electrician had one, but that's not a major criticism.
Excellent quality. Should last a life time. Very sharp blades. Highly recommended.
