Amazing amount of content in such a small book. Every page has information and illustrations, in colour and black and white. The text is presented in an easily read style and the tiles are shown both alone and in their original surroundings. I bought this to do some research for my Victorian dolls house. The dolls house is still waiting because I have got more interested in the tiles!

This is not what I would call a colour album since there are just as many black and white pictures as colour. The pictures are also very small so not as detailed as I would have wished. The actual list price of this book is £4.50 and if you can get a second hand one, I would not recommend since this is priced 300% up on the cover price.

I'm researching the tiles in my Victorian house and this book is the most useful reference material that I've discovered to date. It's quite a tiny and compact publication but it contains valuable information on period tiles.
