This book provides a varied selection of authentic Victorian designs and patterns. Both floral and geometrical, some quite simple and some much more intricate. There is something in here for eveyone, from the beginner to the more experiened,if you are looking for a pattern to use, or to adapt there will be a pattern here for you.

Not a project book,
By A Customer
This review is from: Victorian Stained Glass Pattern Book (Picture Archives) (Paperback)
This "book" is simply blank white pages with black outlines of typical lead patterns used in stained glass windows. There are no examples of colour, illustrations, history, techniques or even figure titles. This may be of use if you happen to find an exact outline for a project of your own and already understand the techniques, history etc, but I can see little value in this. There are far better texts available that include full colour photographs, and written detail on period stained glass. One to miss.

Not a project book,

This review is from: Victorian Stained Glass Pattern Book (Picture Archives) (Paperback)
This book is simply 96 black line drawings suitable for the outline lead tracing in windows etc. There are no "projects" or even descriptions of the designs or example of their uses. The basic black and white tracings may be sufficient for someone who is fortunate to have all the pre-requisite skills to complete the work and chances upon a pattern they like, but I feel there is very limited appeal here. There are much better texts available with history, practical aspects of producing stained glass work, and pictorial representations of original colours.
