I remember watching this 50 minute special for the first time on BBC1 on Christmas Day in 1994, following which I bought the video release shortly after which was extended to 80 minutes. It's a great performance, but apparantly BBC 2entertain only have the master copy of the 50 minute version, so the additional 30 minutes which was available on the vhs release will remain unreleased on dvd. Therefore I think I'll pass on this release and find a way to convert my vhs release to dvd.

The description of this show is also misleading. It says it features Julie Walters and Duncan Preston. Well, yes, they are watching in the studio audience, but they don't actually do anything.

Format:VHS Tape
This video is an absolute must for any one who loves Victoria Wood and hates Aerobics Instructors! She pokes fun at all those parts of life that get on our nerves, and manages to makes us see the funny side. Her music also plays a large part of this video, inculding the very popular "Lets do it" song, featuring Freda and Barry!

The only criticism I have about this video is that it is billed as a studio version of the live show she gave in the Albert Hall, yet the editing is very obvious. I think that it would have been better, if recorded in the studio without any breaks. This would give more of a "live" atmosphere. Having said that, I realise that certain parts of the video (when she changes costume, etc) need to be dealt with but I am sure that these could have been worked around.

All that said, I have no hestation in recommending this to any one. It is particularly good for a night in with a pizza, choccies and a bottle of wine!

This VHS is one of the most funniest stand-up comedy shows I have ever seen.

Victoria Wood has a unique way of making the audience howl with laughter. She is truly incomparable. I think that this VHS should become one of your most treasured possessions, as this is exceptionally hilarious.

Haily Baily with Step,
Kimberly
and the unforgettable 'Ballad of Barry and Freda'.

This is one video that just makes you want to collect everything that Victoria Wood has ever done.
