After having had a cold for 1 week and having tried plenty other remedies-- nothing worked. So I tested the Vicks Vapo Steam Inhalator and within 2 days my cold runny and blocked nose and sneezing had all gone I would recommend the Vicks Vapo Steam Inhalator to anyone who suffers with colds.
The Vicks Vapo Steam Inhalator was easy to set up and easy to use. Word of caution when putting the vapo oil into the Inhalator and when tipping it away --be careful not to get the oil onto your hands as it takes a while for smell to disappear.
I found it handy that you could fill the Vicks Vapo Steam Inhalator from your normal tap and even better it’s dishwasher safe.

Don't buy this if you just want a steam inhalation. Vicks Vapouriser Steam Inhalator V-1300UKI wish I had seen the reviews before I purchased this, it is absolutely no use whatsoever for using as a steam inhalation. We didn't use vic as that was not the purpose for which we wanted it so can't say if it would work with that.

If you're after something that will allow you to have a steam inhalation then don't bother buying this. It's so safety conscious (not a bad thing in itself) that no steam comes out of the top of the inhalator. Not only does this defeat the whole purpose but surely this makes this product in breach of the Trade Descriptions Act!!! You'd be better off with a bowl of hot water and a towel.
If, however, you're after something to waft smelly vicks-type stuff at you then this will suffice. Personally I always thought it was the steam that shifted catarrh, eased chest pain and cleared the head, not the stuff we stick in the water. Personally, I think you'd still be better off with a bowl of hot water and a towel.

This product is not as good as the original Vicks Vapouriser Inhalator - the air vent doesn't seem to be big enough to let out the fumes.
