The Vicks V-610E Warm Mist Humidifier is a stylish warm mist humidifier. Producing pure, warm steam – free from bacteria, minerals and other impurities, it provides perfect humidity for an improved well-being of people, pets, plants, furniture.
How it works:
Dry Air can cause damage to your home and to you. For a person the results can be as per the diagram below, i.e. dry skin, fatigue, tiredness and reduced concentration. It can also be a factor in developing or irritating croup in babies and young children. Many paediatricians would recommend running a humidifier to help ease and relieve symptoms when a child is sick with a cold.

This humidifier works really well with my asthma. I've got chronic bronchitis and find it hard to breathe at night, but this helps. I especially like the little medicine cup - perfect for eucalyptus oil. The two speeds are great albeit a little noisy. The only other issue I can see is that the dial is backlit, which may bother light sleepers but a nice night-light for others! I'd recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this humidifier for my husband who has bronchitis/asthma/emphysema. This has to be one of the most amazing things I have ever purchased. I fill it up with water each morning around 9 a.m. and it lasts for at least 12-hours. He finds he does not need it through the night as the air is moist enough after 12-hours or so. It really has made such a difference as regards his breathing. As for the backlight, if someone is a light sleeper it can be be turned away from them as it is not too bright a light. I would definitely recommend this and just wish I had not hummed and ahhhed for so long. Brilliant.

I really like this humidifier. It does not get hot, you can move it while it is on (although be careful!). It makes more noise than the "Honeywell" humidifier (which is so quiet it is insane, but I had issues with the cold nebulisation), however if you just have it on the lowest setting it is tolerable. The noise is like a boiling kettle sound, but it's not a problem. It really does a great job of humidifying the room as you can feel the effects very quickly. This in turn means you have to keep filling up that tank, depending on use I would say every day or maybe every other day but that is fine as I believe you should use fresh water each time anyway. It is very VERY easy to use, not fiddly at all and has a handle when the tank is turned up side down. I love the little cup for putting olbas oil in. What a clever idea! The steam goes straight up in the air, doesn't make the floor wet and is generally a great product. I also like the night light feature, as you can see easily that it is on (duh!). The switch is easy to turn on. This is a great product. I am so happy with the results and have got my grandad hooked too. I can literally breathe easier. Oh and this makes your room warmer, too. Big feature if you have a cold as you don't want cold air on you. One more thing, don't try pouring water into the TOP of the tank! Me and hubby both went for it, ROOKIE mistake! Tank fills up from the bottom!!!
