The Vicks SmartTemp Digital Thermometer is a professionally accurate instrument for faster and easier temperature taking. It is suitable for oral, underarm or rectal use, with instructions for all in the manual provided. The hypoallergenic tip means there is a decreased tendency for an allergic reaction which is a definite positive.
A memory feature enables the user to monitor temperature changes so that levels can be reviewed on a personal basis- the last temperature reading taken flashes on the screen when the thermometer is switched from off to on. Temperature changes from person to person so you should measure it regularly to understand yours, or your child’s, normal temperature. You can then recognise when temperature is not normal and react to early signs of a fever.

Received my SmartTemp thermometer today. Packaging is Vicks-branded but actually says "Recommended by" and shows the Vicks logo - the product itself is manufactured by Kaz, which appears to be a Swiss company that also makes Braun electronics. It seems well-designed and is easy to operate and clean, and comes with a handy storage sleeve which also prevents the unit being switched on accidentally, say in a pocket or in luggage. Display is nice and clear, and the unit doesn't take long to take a reading (beeps when done). Time will tell as to how reliable it is, but it has a longer-than usual guarantee, which is a good start! Very pleased - seems good value for money from Amazon. Recommended!

I needed a thermometer because I'm doing a new fitness and eating regime and need to know my daily body temperature.
I wanted something small and easy to use and this fits the bill perfectly.
Straight out of the package I had no need to read any instructions, I stuck it where I wanted to read a temperature from (armpit) and pressed the button, waited a for it to take a reading (it beeps several times once it's done) and I was as happy as a squirrel in a nut orchard!
The read out screen is easily readable where ever you have it stuck, if you need to take it out with you it's small enough to go anyway you want to take it, and best of all if needed it is really easy to clean, just a quick wipe with a cloth and it's clean.
The design is really sleek and 21st century like I feel, it almost looks like some strange alien probe ... ahem, sorry, my star trek side coming out there!

Use speed
The Thermometer is easy to use and the response is quick. I would certainly recommend it. I haven't yet had to renew the battery so cannot comment on it.

I got the thermometer last week and it seems to work fine. I haven't had it long enough to say whether it's completely reliable, though.

Nothing fancy, but good for the price.
