Product Description

Synopsis

This text investigates the fundamental principles of vibration theory, and explores their practical applications to engineering problems. Organized for maximum flexibility, it features thorough coverage of integral topics, numerous practical example problems and a wide variety of computer programs in FORTRAN. Emphasis is placed on the use of influence co-efficients for derivation of the differential equations of motion in matrix form, as well as the modal analysis method to obtain the response of self-excited vibration, improved discussion of computer programs to facilitate their use by students, and new EXECUTABLE programs are provided on a diskette in FORTRAN as a useable problem-solving tool.
