My copy is so old and tattered now after using it so extensively that I may have to purchase a new copy at some time.
The book itself has different chapters devoted to different areas of the feline. For example, there is a chapter on getting a new kitten, one ome how to care for a elderly cat, first aid for cats (very helpful indeed). Then there is the more technical stuff like haematology and endocrinology which for myself are easy to understand as I am a Zoologist. I actually diagnosed Hyperthryoidsm in one of my Siamese cats from this book and also a heart complaint. Sometimes I wonder if I should own this book because if one of my pedigree cats so much as sniffs, I panic and rush for this book..........I suppose it is the same if you have a human beings version of this book. ie. medical notes for human beings!
All in all though this is a very helpful book and if you own cats I would reommend buying it. Yes, it is expensive but it will last you a lifetime.
