Format:Audio CD
This is the absolute PERFECT companion to Victor's autobiography 'Up Front'!!
In my mind, you can't have one without the other. In the book, you have the beauty of Victor's word on the printed page and the magnificent stories that fill those pages.
But HERE...here you have The Man himself actually telling you these stories. Not in a dry 'then I did this, then I did that' fashion...but from his heart..from his soul...from his magnificent career. All recorded live in front of the audience that Victor so loves and that loves him so in return. It is the perfect moment, the perfect time. The only way that this could be any better would be if you sat face to face with Victor and he told you these stories himself. This IS the first person account..of Liz and Dick..of The Beatles, etc from the man who was THERE and not someone sitting in a library researching book after book.
I envy you in Britain that have such a man as Victor Spinetti as one of your national treasures. This magnificent cd only reaffirms that!

When I bought this I thought it was a book; not a CD - so obviously I didn't read the description properly. I think it is a nicely presented product, but probably more for the older person who appreciates VS's humour more. As I'm only 36, I find him quite funny - but didn't grow up with him. His banter is quite light-hearted and enjoyable; although he does use bad language - so just be wary of playing the CD around children.
