We've all seen those three little t'aime ...but will this be the case for Margaret?

When Margaret discovers her fiancé is cheating on her, she leaves England in search of a new life and a new dream. Beautiful yet self-effacing, Margaret is determined to put romance out of her life and avoid forming personal ties. On the beautiful south coast of France, Margaret lands herself with a plum job and is happy to forget her worthless old flame. Things are looking up, until a series of events draw her into meeting handsome Frenchman Jean-Paul. Despite her reservations, Margaret begins to let down her guard with inevitable consequence.
Margaret falls deeply in love, but struggles with her conscious after discovering Jean-Paul is married. Despite his declaration of a loveless marriage, should Margaret continue with her new affair? Her old life haunts and scares her…Should she choose a secure, safe life, immersed in her work, or one filled with passion and excitement with the sexy Frenchman? In her darkest hours, can she trust him with her heart?... Has she found a safe haven?
Or is she poised on the brink of the abyss…

4.0 out of 5 stars French Frolic. 6 Oct 2013
By Janet
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Faith Mortimer is well known for her mystery novels, so this contemporary romance showcases her skills in a slightly different direction.
A perfect setting with St. Tropez as a backdrop, and the author clearly has much knowledge of this area, and all things marine.
Margaret has been dumped, by a less than perfect fiance. When an opportunity to work in France is presented by the sailing company she works for, Margaret jumps at the chance of this change of life direction. And change it does, mostly in the form of handsome French businessman, Jean-Paul.
Unfortunately, he is trapped in a loveless marriage and their resultant affair brings with it a good few twists and turns for Margaret, and a surprising, shocking climax.
Good plotting and pacing, combined with a wonderful sense of France and the sailing community.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Read. 21 Jun 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Faith Mortimer has the ability to transport you into other countries with her very knowledgeable scene setting and descriptions for the background of the main story, in this book it being the South of France. I really enjoy this. This particular book is a Romance and is a good variation on a standard romance making it far more interesting for the reader. I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this book. Thank you, Faith Mortimer, another really good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars St Tropez Romance 28 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Faith Mortimer, well known for her Diana Rivers mystery thriller series, branches out here with a romance set in the South of France. Her lead character, Margaret, is a likable and believable heroine who will have readers engrossed in the joys and pitfalls of what it's like to be a young woman with the world at her feet. As with all of Faith's writing the locations are wonderfully described to give that `you could be there' feeling as you read. This is a strong entry into a new genre for this writer and, hopefully, the first of many more romances to come. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read 14 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A very French affair is the latest novel by faith mortimer and is a terrific addition to her collection. This book had me gripped from the very start up until the end which I never saw coming. Faith has the knack of making the reader feel as though they are part of the cast and this book has me begging for a follow up book. You will love the story and you will love being able to picture the scenery which is so well described that you think you are in France.hope you enjoy this book as much as I have, I am sure you will.

4.0 out of 5 stars Emotive and a great read 8 May 2014
By Bodicia
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really liked this emotive story. Margaret is let down badly by her fiance after he comes back from a business trip and finishes their relationship after admitting to an affair with the woman waiting in the car outside. Once Margaret is over the shock she realises he wasn’t much of a lover or a loss anyway but it still doesn’t get rid of her urge to have a child before it is too late. When her employer offers her a short contract in France she leaps at the chance of a breath of fresher air. Little did she realise it was going to be the start of an affair which would have such consequences for her dreams.

I don’t normally feel sorry for women who do the sort of thing Margaret does but I warmed to this character and felt every ounce of her pain as she went through one crisis and in to another. Faith Mortimer really has the knack of a good storyteller and this novel actually got me a bit teary in the end as I felt so involved with Margaret’s story.
