Strauss's Four Last Songs by Jessye Norman. Having heard several other famous opera singers, Jessye Norman is in my opinion the best.

What a wonderful voice to perform so many works of Wagner. The range and quality of her voice is superb. I can listen to this recording and be transported to a different world. Jessye Norman could sing anything and make it a marvellous experience.

Jessye Norman's voice is truly wonderful however Disk 1 music is more melodic and therefore more appealing
Disk 2 music choice will need more playing time to enable me to pass an opinion but the voice and technical
ability is beyond question.
