Bought this as a 30th birthday present for my daughter, as I remember putting on her Boy George make up for her, and listening to her singing along in my car to Duran Duran, Thompson twins and Frankie goes to Hollywood! She's got her own 2 kids now, and they all sing along to her "oldies"(what mummy liked when she was young!) Well received pressie, and I was pleased at such a brilliant selection of songs to represent a brilliant era - all the songs are , the years will roll away.

"The Very Best of the Fantastic 80's" follows on from "Fantastic 80s", "Fantastic 80s 2" and Fantastic 80's 3" which were all released 3 or 4 years ago BUT if you already own them don't be put of by this album which claims to be just the best bits of those. Aswell as including the best tracks from the previous 3 "Fantastic 80s" double CDs this album also includes different tracks such as "The Winner Takes It All: ABBA" "Through The Barricades: Spandau Ballet" and "Especially For You: Kylie & Jason".
This album is a must have for those, unlike myself, who were lucky enough to be old enough to PART-AY through the 80s (I'm not sure if all of those would agree with the "lucky" part of that though!!). It's also a great CD to buy if you are a fan of 80s music but do not own any 80s compilations - with such acts as Duran Duran, ABC, Nik Kershaw and Dead Or Alive it's the perfect introduction to the best music decade of all time!!
The only thing that could have improved this album is a track or two from a-ha and also Duran Duran's "Save A Prayer"... and "Gold" by Spandau Ballet!
